How about the late John Paul II’s Evangelium Vitae ( Vatican translation, p.117):”..civil law must ensure that all members of society enjoy respect for certain fundamental rights…first and fundamental among these is the inviolable right to life of every innocent human being….”

Logically speaking, if a kid’s first and fundamental rights are not respected, then there is no need to respect his secondary or tertiary rights (housing, healthcare,etc.)–because he’s no longer alive. 

    Right?
